I’m excited to share an update on the upcoming launch of my Etsy shop, ARSCLYCUS. After spending some time catching up on creative projects that had been left unfinished, I’m gearing up for a busy period starting May 11th. This will be when I gather everything needed to create a shop that appeals to customers worldwide. My jewellery is all handmade by me, Rebecca McCarthy, and I like to think of it as wearable art. Each piece tells a story through hand-painted details, recycled materials, and unique sea glass pendants.
Preparing for the Launch
The past few weeks have been about tying up loose ends on various creative projects. This time was essential to clear the way for a focused push toward the Etsy shop launch. From May 11th, it will be full steam ahead. I’m organizing my workspace, sourcing quality materials, and planning the product range carefully to ensure the shop offers something special.
Creating jewellery that stands out means paying attention to every detail. I’m selecting recycled elements that bring character and history to each piece. The sea glass pendants are particularly close to my heart — each one is shaped by nature and carries a unique colour and texture.
What to Expect from ARSCLYCUS Jewellery
The jewellery available in the shop will be a mix of styles but all connected by a common thread: they are wearable art. Here’s what makes ARSCLYCUS pieces unique:
Hand-painted designs: Each piece features original artwork applied by hand, making every item one of a kind.
Recycled materials: I use recycled metals and components to create sustainable jewellery that respects the environment.
Sea glass pendants: These natural treasures are carefully selected and incorporated into designs that highlight their beauty.
Versatile styles: Whether you prefer subtle elegance or bold statement pieces, there will be something to suit your taste.
This approach means the jewellery is not just an accessory but a conversation starter. Wearing ARSCLYCUS pieces lets you express your individuality while supporting handmade craftsmanship.
Building a Shop with Worldwide Appeal
One of my main goals is to create a shop that attracts customers from around the globe. To do this, I’m focusing on several key areas:
Clear product descriptions that tell the story behind each piece and explain the materials used.
High-quality photos that show the jewellery from multiple angles and highlight the hand-painted details.
Fair pricing that reflects the time and care invested in each item while remaining accessible.
Reliable shipping options to ensure customers receive their jewellery safely and promptly.
I’m also planning to engage with potential customers by sharing the creative process behind the pieces. This transparency helps build trust and makes the shopping experience more personal.
Why Handmade Jewellery Matters
In a world full of mass-produced items, handmade jewellery offers something different. It carries the touch of the artist and the story of its creation. For me, making jewellery is a way to connect with people through art that they can wear every day.
Using recycled materials adds another layer of meaning. It’s a small way to reduce waste and give new life to materials that might otherwise be discarded. The sea glass pendants are a perfect example of this — shaped by the ocean and then transformed into something beautiful and wearable.
What’s Next for ARSCLYCUS
The next few weeks will be intense but rewarding. I’ll be finalizing designs, photographing pieces, and setting up the Etsy shop. Once the shop is live, I’ll continue to add new items regularly and listen to customer feedback to improve the collection.
If you love jewellery that combines art, sustainability, and a personal touch, ARSCLYCUS will be worth watching. I’m looking forward to sharing this journey and welcoming you to the shop soon.
